Family Lifestyle Session / The Leger Family / Sunshine Coast BC Photographer

In July, I had a lovely lady contact me about a family session. Christine was coming to town with her husband and two young children to visit her family. She was hoping to get them all together for some photos at Snicket Park. After chatting back and forth through my business page, I took a peek at her Facebook page and realized that I knew her! Christine had grown up in our small town; we went to high school together, she graduated with my sister and my cousin was really good friends with her brother. 

Christine had seen my work online, as I had photographed a mutual friend's maternity session.  And after I traveled to Victoria, BC to mentor with Angie McCabe of Myrtle and Moss Photography, she knew that I was the one to photograph her beautiful family during their visit. (As that was who photographed HER maternity session!)

When the day came for their shoot, there was a random thunder and rain storm coming through. The dark clouds make for some really dreamy lighting that gave the ultimate "moody" and romantic look to their photographs. I say ROMANTIC because it was their five year anniversary! They didn't tell me that little tid-bit of information until I arrived and I was so excited to capture some special photos of just Christine and her husband Logan. 

They didn't need any prompts to show their love for each other during this session. Five years of marriage and many more as lovers will do that to you. You become in tune with your partner without even realizing it. And even with someone following you around with a camera, you beam with love in the most natural way. 

This is easily one of my favourite family sessions to date!  Oh, and the rain held off until the end of their session! Perfection.
